| Yep, that's right, my sister (younger than me by just under 2 years) is now married. Crazy. But the wedding was beautiful, and the guy makes her happy, so I guess I'm okay with it ... not sure I'm okay with the news that she might not be home for Christmas, however ...
In other news, I had 1 1/2 weeks off and actually got enough sleep for a change - I might just be ready to start the new semester :).

| So I've spent a fair amount of time these last couple of weeks working on my personal website - check it out at mywebspace.wisc.edu/hogendoorn/web - if you want to compare it to the previous, oh-so-tacky version, go to mywebspace.wisc.edu/hogendoorn/web/oldWebpage, and you'll be able to see why I'm a little proud of the changes :).

| Just so you know, Ford Mustangs are harder to break into than you might think. This is great if you own the car, not so great if you are stuck outside a rental vehicle with the keys locked inside ... and even AAA can't help you. Fortunately, Ford rocks and doesn't charge for sending someone with the know-how to help you get into one of their cars :). But, I've a nice sunburn now ...

| I wrote a birthday song the other day:
Happy birthday to me, I live in a tree, I look like a monkey, and I speak Chimpanzee!
Obviously this has some influences from another birthday song ...

| So as many of you may not know, as I'm not a frequent blogger, and I don't blog when I'm stressed, this semester I had to do my Thesis Background Oral exam - involving a presentation, and a question and answer session with 3 profs - ahh! Scary! But, it was this afternoon, it's over, and despite some hairy moments where I forgot basic chemistry ... I passed! So wahoo! Maybe now I can stop thinking about it enough to sleep at night! (an overexaggeration, but not as much as I would like).
So wahoo, and I'm hoping you're enjoying (and experiencing ... weather is finicky ...) spring!
